On October the 14th, for the first time the Russian restaurants were awarded by Michelin guide. Moscow Mayor Mr. Sobyanin said at the ceremony that the release of the guide was an important event at a tough time for the industry. 7 restaurants got 1 Michelin star, 2 restaurants - 2 stars. WOW!

Russia became the 35th country to have a Michelin guide and Moscow is the first city of the former Soviet Union to be awarded stars.
